Following is our schedule of rates. Please note that these rates are subject to change without notice.
General website design
This rate usually applies to new clients who only require a small amount of work.
Website maintenance
Update a website designed by Affinity Images, or someone else. Affinity Images uses Cascading Style Sheets to minimize the time spent on changes to your site in the future.
Standard Website project
Standard Website project applies to the constructing of a new website, or re-designing your old one. The first figure covers initial design work, consultation, setup of the site structure. The second rate is the average charge per page. Affinity Images can develop a flash driven site from external templates if you prefer and we will optimize your chosen site to be found in the Google Search Engines. All our sites include submitting your sites URL to over 120 search engines on the internet.
Custom Website Projects
Affinity Images can provide a total web design solution including Photography Logo development Website Design and Development as well as Marketing Solutions. Give us a call and we will run through your project with you and provide a competitive quote for the whole project or break it down to specific tasks.
Travel Time
Affinity Images Photography and Web Design are conveniently located on the southern end of the Gold Coast. Our position allows us to service customers from Brisbane in South East Queensland down to Ballina in Northern New South Wales. Our travel time is from Kingscliff and it is charged
Correcting copy
Website copy is to be supplied in Notepad or MS Word document format, checked and edited before supply. If Affinity Images has to correct your copy before we use it, this will be charged at the correcting copy rate.
Professional copy editing
Should you choose for Affinity Images to edit your copy to a professional standard, we can provide this service which will provide you with a media quality copy which is optimized for your keywords for SEO.
Print friendly pages
If you have pages that people will want to print (eg, media releases, fact sheets, etc), we can provide the HTML Code behind the sense for this to occur smoothly. This requires new CSS Code to be written which removes unwanted graphics and images.
Custom coding
If your site requires custom functionality, for example a database we can provide this premium services for our competitive custom coding rate. Please note that your host server will need the functionality to support this service. If your current host server is unable to provide this we can transfer your domain host who will provide this functionality.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
There is not much point in having a great looking website if no one is going to find it. The majority of web designers may be able to provide a good looking site but you will still be in the back streets if they don’t optimize it for the search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Affinity Images can optimize your site for your customers. We can provide a detailed analysis of your target audience and you competition to come up with your optimum keywords to place in you copy.
Setup & configure your web host
This item applies to setting up your web hosting account with email boxes, email forwards, and statistical analysis. It is not included in the web design project rate. Affinity Images Web Design can provide you with a suitable Host for your requirements.
Web Hosting
Affinity Images can set you up with an Australian Host with unlimited storage space, 24hr tech support and yourname@yourdomain email accounts.
Move and setup existing website
If you have an existing host who is not providing the service you require or is charging you too much we can move your site to one that is both competitive in todays market and provides the services and features you require.
Macromedia Flash Animation
Affinity Images Web Design can liven up your site with customized animations using Macromedia Flash Player and Galleries.
Requested weekend after hours work
If you request work to be performed for whatever reason after hours or on a weekend, this hourly rate will apply. "After hours" is defined as between 8.30 am and after 5pm Monday to Friday. "Weekend" is defined as between 5.00pm Friday, and 8.30am Monday. Public Holidays also attract the rates of “Weekend out of hours work”.
After hours completion of work
An after hours rate will apply if a pre-determined deadline exists, and a promised delivery of content does not happen forcing completion of work to take place after hours. "After hours" is defined as between 8.30 am and 5pm Monday to Friday. "Weekend" is defined as between 5.00pm Friday, and before 8.30am Monday.
Domain Name Registration
Domain name registration is all part of our customized service. Just let us know your preferred names and we will arrange the registration of your domain subject to availability. We recommend a minimum of 2 years registration to help your SEO.
General Information for Clients:
Pre-project Planning
Affinity Images we help you design your site layout to best suit your circumstances. To save you money we recommend you explore your competitors’ sites and pick out the layout you would prefer on your site, this would include an overview, or brief, of the planned website, including a basic sitemap with details of extra functionality.
File types:
Website Copy
It is preferable for all text information for new or edited websites to be supplied in Text Notepad or Word Documents . Please do not send the text in the body of an email as this creates problems when copying it into the web page. Please clearly set out all instructions. PLEASE NOTE: work will not commence until website copy, logos, etc are supplied.
Images
The website project pricing above assumes the addition of up to three client supplied images per page. This includes editing and preparation for inclusion on your website. File types for images are:
- Photos and high-colour graphics: JPEG GIF or PNG
- Logos and small graphics: GIF or PNG
- Hi-res logo for animation: Full colour, layered EPS
If any other file types are supplied, you may be charged extra for conversion or optimization. Please ask before sending anything other than what is listed above. NOTE: PDF is not an acceptable image format. Any high res images, or not "optimized for the web use" images, must be supplied on CD-Rom.
Agreements
Customers are required to sign an agreement and pay a deposit for any new website development/design project. The deposit covers work that may take several weeks to complete, and the agreement covers both our client and Affinity Images in that both parties know what each others obligations are. Note that this applies to new AND existing clients, as terms and conditions may change over time.
Desktop Support
Affinity Images is a photography and web design company. We are not a computer helpdesk company. We apologized for not being able to help you with installation of software, or provide support for software you have installed. We can certainly recommend (what we think) is the best software for the job, but, again, we do not provide support for it. The same goes for setting up email on your computer. We have a network of professional we can recommend for all your computing needs.
Billing
Affinity Images Web Design accounts are fifteen days for regular clients (a history of more than 60 days), and seven days for new clients. It is important you pay your bill on time, as further work may be suspended until your account becomes current. All new clients are to sign an agreement before any new website development or re-design project commences. You will also be required to pay a 40% deposit. Our prices are in $AUD, and includes Australian Goods and Services Tax.
Certain items may be subcontracted out depending on time constraints.
